The Workshop “Beyond restoration – The Role of Restorers and Conservators in Supporting Law Enforcement in the Combatting Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Goods“ is organised by the RITHMS project, which will take place in Brussels on December 4, 2024.
The E.C.C.O. committee has been directly invited to take part on this panel, but it is of fundamental importance to have other conservator-restorers joining the event.
The (free) event will focus on the illicit trafficking of cultural property and the role of conservator-restorers, as a relevant cultural heritage professional, in supporting law enforcement in the fight against this phenomenon. This is a highly relevant topic in today’s context, which is, however understudied and often where conservator-restorers are not included despite their critical role.
